Re: recover files/systems

Hi,

I agree with you Doug, that's why now, when I install a new program, I
prefer to never
change the default path.

I recovered my data/symbols from a destroyed HDD, with a Dos application :
Tiramusi from Ontrack
and after, I reinstalled windows and TS2000.

Whenever you want to copy/paste only one file or folder, It's preferable to
rename the original file/folder before with a name easy to remember.
For example : \server
by \serverold

Then you open TS and check if everything is OK

if not, delete the new (\server) folder you've just pasted in and rename
the original one (\serverold) into its former name (\server).

That's what Omega Techsupp made me do once with TS4.
But it's certainly better to backup the whole Omega directory.

Now, I make 2 backups : the one you can make with the globalserver and one
entire copy of the Omega folder into another HDD.

I haven't found yet a datafeed provider would could be able to forward me
more
than several weeks of tick by tick hidtorical data after a crash.

Rgds

Philippe
