I'd say if you ever trade 50 SP's at a whack they take notice. The most I
ever traded for my own business was 150, I trade very lightly now compared
to that. But the reputation still lingers so I get good fills. Here is
something that is a little inverse, when I worked for a large firm we would
trade 1500 + up to the max position sizes for a single day. In this case I
saw the size work against us. We "NEVER" were the top or the bottom, we
were the dead middle of the market.

I believe that 25 to 150 is a really good number of SP's to trade, its
compact enough to move fast and its impressive if you turn that 80-160 times
a year. Where as the larger guys are less frequent. Frequency has much to
do with it too, as well as the type of orders and control that you give
them. I always give all my brokers some room to move it on their own. It
makes everyone work as a team, rather than to give a hard price. Sometimes
in a slow market I do price it in and have used FOK's and all or none.
