I heard a news story on the Island ECN plans to expand to full 'exchange'
status. They announced a partnership with a market maker. According to
the story, they planned to offer trading of NYSE stocks.
Anyone know when this expansion will occur?
It seems that the trading of NYSE stocks on Island would cause real
problems for the NYSE specialist system.
