This is the point I'm trying to make, why is corn special, and not MSFT. There
is a problem here that is being missed. I can and do trade an equity account on
a power of attorney, but I still trade through a broker, he receives the
commissions not me.

There is no dispute to registration for those who manage money or give advice
individually. Incidently, if you check it out, I am quite sure that you had
to take an examination to be an AP of your CTA. There is no examination for
CTAs.
This issue is about those who do NOT manage money, have No power of attorney,
and do not give any individualized advice.
If one wants to express an opinion about a stock or option or bond - no
problem.
If one wants to express an opinion on Treasury Bond futures, that's a big
problem and according to the present regulation whould require registration.
Talk about Amazon.com....that's fine.
Talk about Corn.....that's registration stuff even though there is no account
control, or individual advice.
Are you sure that you want to buy into that? What's next - registration to
talk about computers?
