The original Time Trend (as opposed to TT3 ) system is fully described in Stock
Market Trading Systems by Gerald Appel and Fred Hitschler. It is heavily based
on momentum patterns. Not surprisingly since Gerald developed one of the famous
momentum indicators, the MACD.
