Ive had the same problem tick data getting to box but charts not updating
for 2-3 minutes. i installed this upgrade from 4.0 2 weeks ago. i was forced
to as i trade forex and bmi no longer broadcasts and with signal + ts 4.0 u
cant mix real time and delayed data (i need forex real time and futures
delayed). I havnt done a trade since. phone bill to tech probably more than
upgrade.
every step i ran into abrick wall first with data conversion problems. if u
convert forex data from bmi to signal the symbology is wrong and no data
transfers. renaming symbols doesnt work. uses much more resources cant get
close to the number of workspaces open that i need or used with older version
(128mb ram) . anyway when i realized how slow the data was coming to chart
and that ticks were being dropped i was about to give up. tech support was no
help still waiting for a reply for 3 days from a senior tech. but i did
figure it out today i use signal so may be different for u but the port
setting had the wrong baud rate set
(start-settings-controlpanel-system-device manager-ports) make sure the
setting is at the maximum. it now works as it should and no dropped ticks.
hope this helps. this is surly something that their tech support should have
been able to troubleshoot in minutes not days or at all.
Also, another major bug. for those trading cash forex . All the old
historical data comes into ts2i as "trade record". all broadcast ticks come
in as 'bid' and 'ask' data. so I cant build a continuous chart, only an old
chart with hist data or one with my 2 new weeks of data. omega says they
dont know how to do it. Does any one know of a fix for this ? if not this
software will be useless to forex traders.
one more thing if anyone is having trouble with unkown freezes try slowing
down your graphic acceleration this made my system more stable as well(pII
266)
I dont mean to rant and whine, and up until 2weeks ago only sang praises for
ts4.0 even with its 16 bit and other limitaions, and i know my way around a
pc fairly well.
this has got to be the most frustrating experience with software that i have
ever had.
but as my hands are tied at the moment ill keep plodding along.
