at the suggestion of omega tech, several years ago (windows095) a added
a second dedicated parallel port for the dongle & have had minimal
problems with it on a p-90; a year ago, moved it to a p-II-300 with a
dedicated port & have not had a single error message concerning the
dongle since march, 98.
a combination of a second dedicated port & setting the ssi_act to an
optimal setting seems to the the approach... suggest calling omega tech
for a walk-thru on setting the ssi.
