DSL was installed here about 10 days ago. There are no cons.

Replaced multiple dial-up lines with 1 DSL line that is blazingly fast,
always on, connected to a LAN so multiple users share one account.

Download time is usually server limited. A fast server will hit 65 - 70 KB/s.

Different telcos offer different deals. Here, replacing multiple dial-up
lines and multiple ISP's with one DSL line & account ends up being cheaper,
as well as vastly superior. Oh, and it's a regular phone line as well.
