KCBT Offers Simulated ISDEX Trading
For Free
Kansas City-April 13, 1999-The Kansas City
Board of Trade announced today that it is
making simulated online trading in ISDEX
Internet stock index futures available for free
through U.S. Virtual, Inc.
The simulated program, run by the
AUDITRACK division of U.S. Virtual, Inc., will
be available free of charge to the public
effective immediately through the Kansas
City Board of Trade's website at
www.kcbt.com. Participants signing up for
the program will be able to simulate actual
trading in the ISDEX June futures contract
prior to the contract launch June 1. Free
simulated trading will continue to be
available in the ISDEX through August 31.
Before the ISDEX contract luanch,
AUDITRACK will provide live fills for the
simulated buying and selling activity based
on the underlying cash index, a
cash-to-futures fair value formula, and
AUDITRACK's proprietary liquidity model.
Following the contract launch, simulated
online trading will be based on actual ISDEX
futures prices.
The ISDEX, created by internet.com LLC, is
the leading and oldest Internet stock index in
the marketplace. The ISDEX
(www.isdex.com) contains 50 stocks
representative of the diversity of publicly
traded U.S. companies that derive revenue
primarily from the Internet. Free real-time
quotes on the ISDEX cash index are
available on the KCBT's website at
www.kcbt.com.
The Kansas City Board of Trade filed to
trade ISDEX futures and futures options in
mid-December, and recently received
approval from the Commodity Futures
Trading Commission. Trading will begin June
1, 1999.
