Tried that.  It did not do anything.   I seem to have fixed it now but
worryingly not sure how.  I deleted the system and then put in another
system which has a print statement which did print to the log.  I then
reinserted the original system and it was working again!!!    I seem to have
'cleared' whatever jam was there.  Gotta love this software!! <g>

Thanks for suggestions.
