Disclaimer: I run EOD!

I just upgraded my 200MMX from 64Mb of memory
to 320Mb and TS has finally become usable. I optimized
my non-system UW SCSI 4.3Mb with Norton Speed Disk
and then placed the NT swap file on it. This is the same
drive where my ProSuite lives.

I have 84361 symbols in GlobalServer and over 500 symbols
in RadarScreen. It took GS about 35 minutes to process
30K quotes (50% Download completed) and 50K in one hour.
It took GS around 20 minutes to come up and a few minutes
to shut down.

The amount of memory I have is definitely obscene. Metastock
would probably grow wings and fly on this much memory.

I saw a mention of Ctree in the list archives where it applied to TS4.
Omega is still using Ctree as the database format for GS
(look for *.dat and *.idx in the \Server and \Server\Pds)
but apparently runs much slower. Could it be due to MS Access?
I would understand if Omega did everything through ODBC,
then I could just swap the backend database. But why mix Ctree and Access???
