Richard:
"Not enough memory" is a pretty clear error message. I am only using
48MB! (This on a second, older machine, 133MHz. I didn't want to load
TS2000 on top of my working TS 4.0).
The folder to hid is "Groups" under the Omega folder: c:\omega\groups.
Just put X at the end of the current Groups file, like GroupsX, and the
install will write a new one. (But it looks like you have other
problems).
The secret to getting through to tech support: hit the redial button 200
times and when you get thru wait 20 min for techie who is very helpful,
as always.
MORE:!!!
To add (not load) stocks to the GlobalServer, go Insert| Symbol| Add
from Dictionary , which gives you a window like the "Symbol Universe
Setup" that you used to add symbols to the Symbol Universe in the 4.0
server. Type in the symbols you want and THEN THE Update Wizard WILL
LOAD (and convert) the Sig.dat files. I am not using the historyCD. If
you load from this CD, afterwards deselect all and reselect only the
ones you want to keep. Otherwise, you will need a 10GB HD to hold a few
months of data.
I did not see the above in the 72 page booklet that came with my
upgrade! Only info about the historybank!
