Wayne,

I'm having essentially the same problem, except that it ends with a message
that "cannot backup system.ini file.  Not enough memory.  Installation will
abort."  I end up back at the desktop.

Could you be more specific about the files you are renaming and their
location.

I have not even been able to get by the busy siganls to get on hold at tech
support!  What's your secret?
