I got ProSuite working, and here is what I discovered/did:

There are numerous dll conflicts that I can tell. I am
running Windows 98, with a recent IE 5.0 update.

This is not Omega's fault, but a Microsoft dirty secret,
where they are constantly fixing bugs in their dll's that
are incompatible with other products and the development
kits that software vendors use. On the other hand, I tend
to pay attention to this myself, because I develop windows
software and don't want this to happen to my users.

Go to Microsoft's Product Update page, and
install this (for Windows 98):

Microsoft libraries update
Windows 98 Year 2000 Update
Re-install ProSuite after that

I would suspect you need to do this for any Microsoft
release.

There are also problems with the GlobalServer. Even
if you chose no RT feed, it runs a background daemon that
seems to be trying to get out on the modem and update
either from PC Quote, or HistoryBank.com. You have to
go to "ToolBar->properties->start menu programs
->advanced-> Start up and kill the daemon. Its still
seems to try when you start the global server and will
run your system out of memory. This is from debugging,
so even though I think this is what is happening
I've been at this for so many hours I'm punchy.
Even if you choose end of day it still happens.

Don't try and load more than a few symbols from
HistoryBank.com.

I feel a little better. Before I was wondering
of this got shipped a little tooooooo early.
