RE: Does TS2000 have its own server?

My understanding is that SBC e.g. Signal and BMI required that Omega use
their data manager. Omega wrote their own interface to DTN. These then
connect into the Omega Global server then onto charting. I think the same
architecture is used for Internet feeds, but I'm not positive. So instead
of 2 programs running like in TS4 = server and charting, we now get three
programs = data manager, global server and charting. Should be interesting
to see how much overhead this all takes. Then if you add news, and power
editor.....I admit, I'm definitely worried what it's going to take to power
this thing. My upgrade supposedly shipped today. We will see: "The Wheel
weaves as the wheel will".

Subject: Does TS2000 have its own server?

>From the update discussions so far, I'm not clear if TS2000 has its own
server, as does TS4, or uses the vendors server, and just takes data from
it. Could someone clarify that for me?

Since not all vendors have true servers, does this vary with the data
vendor? Is this why TS2000 does not support all vendors?

Thanks,
