You wait until you run this thing real time and you see that it crashes with
the slighest thing you do, Even with 256 megs of ram its a hog, it takes 20
seconds to open a workspace with 5 days of tick data and nothing else on it
(no indicators or systems). The values for many of the symbols are still
screwed up, YES it still has a symbol universe-just well hidden. Yes the
hidden symbol universe is screwed up. If you load a symbol that is not
being collected by mistake it will take the entire system down and you must
reboot. When you crash, you must reboot there is no other way. The quote
screen is very disappointing and the name of the signals on a system have to
appear on the chart or not bee seen at all. By doing this it can take 20
minutes for a system results page to come up on 17,500 bars of data.
Optionstation is still looking the same, the power editor is better but when
you paste a large ela in it randomly ranks the indicators and systems in a
jumbled mess. It takes valuable time to look and find what you want. To
correct a bad tick - GET THIS - you have to correct it in EVERY way you are
saving it. This means you get a bad tick and you correct the tick data,
well if you were saving the data in hourly also you must correct it there
too. If you fix the tick data you haven't fixed all the time frames of data
like the old ts 4 does. The whole root of the problem with this new TS is
the Global Server (which is not a server at all) which is nothing more than
a real time collection and storage device for the data of someone else's
data server. In this case as usual only for BMI and DBC. The systems
results has been replaced by that Piece of Crap RINA thing that takes
FORRRRRever to load even the simplest of systems and view the results. If
you have ever run this thing as a add on with ts 4 you know what I'm talking
about. You will have a new purpose in life now and a reason to get up early
each morning too. So you can reboot the whole system each morning before
the markets open, because after its nightly update the server hangs. While
the thing still works it is impossible to re enter the server to do
anything. I guess if I were a beta tester in France with no real time data
to test it on, I would also be ignorant in my assetment of it being a fine
product? No I think not! its a peice of shit even offline and anyone who
has really put the product to the test knows that. I can fully know now
that Pierre's claims of perfection are not just his opinion, (no one is that
blind or drunk) it's a crefully plan popaganda campaine.

ps Pete first day of April you work for me remember? While some may think my
opinions are skewed because I have a competing product coming out. This is
furthest from the case! If all these software vendors had given me what I
need and listened to the suggestions of their clients. I would have been
very happy to just trade using their products! Facts are that the software
vendors have lost touch with reality of what it is a real trader needs to
real time trade! For this reason of self preservation I have decided to
build a product for myself and make it available to others. I believe if
you can afford it (I can hear pete laughing now, whats the money to a real
trader) you need to buy the new ts 5 so you can fully appreciate what is
coming.
