Dear Melody - I know you're trying to be nice - but I'm simply a retired lawyer
who handles a portfolio using technical analysis - and Omega Research is
supposed to be a hot shot software vendor. I think when a vendor is asking me
to spend $2500 for a piece of software - *it* should be able to tell me whether
or not the software will work with a particular data format. I shouldn't have
to guess on my own. Or spend $2500 to find out. Even the people who sell $30
toasters tell you whether or not bagels will fit into the toasters before you
take them home.

It is a very simple matter to test this. Just have someone from Omega download
the *free* Y2K compliant version of the Equis downloader from the Equis site
(it's the Reuters only version) - and enter some data into it manually -
spanning the time from the end of 1999 through the end of 2000 - or 2001 - maybe
2002 (you can use monthly data - so it might take someone all of an hour to do
the whole thing in a rudimentary fashion). If there's no one at Omega who
can/will do this - I will volunteer my services as a beta tester - and report
back to you (and if it works - I'll pay you for the product).

I am sorry if I sound exasperated - but I am exasperated. Is there anyone in
charting software/data vendor land who realizes that there are older experienced
users out there who are just trying to get their operations to work smoothly in
the transition between 1999 and 2000? We're not adverse to spending money. We
just want to make sure that - if we spend the money - our setups will work.
