I have beta tested for Omnitrader, Metastock and others- I always received
the beta's free and was given a free final copy when released. I had to fill
out weekly reports of bugs found and suggestions for fixes and improvements.
You will have a considerable amount of time and effort invested (as well as
risking havoc with you computer) when you receive the final version. I
agree,$1000 is astronomical to lay out for a beta anything.
