Several folks who have done side-by-side comparisons report that
the satellite is maybe half a second faster. In my case, the big
difference is that the cable company doesn't mess with my satellite
data, once or twice a month, for fifteen or fifty minutes. The
biggest problem is keeping the dish hidden to my wife's satisfaction.
