actually, omega could solve all this safesoft bulls**t by giving the
00's user a 00's solution in a networked trading platform. traders
don't mind paying for a solution that delivers. screw this archaic one
on one microslouth environment. no wonder linux is growing so fast
that bill the swinging gates is worried. it's one product that he
can't buy out :))
unfortunately, the exchanges are the main hangup, not the technology.
if the exchanges were to market their own product, then give it away
to the traders using their products, and eliminate the data vendors,
watch the volume (pit and e-trading) explode. you gotta think that's
what caused nasdaq's tremendous growth.
