Dear Omega Research Customers,

Title: Making Preparations in your Omega Research Product for the Martin
Luther King, Jr. Holiday

Relevant Products: TradeStation 4.0, OptionStation 1.2, SuperCharts RT 4.0,
and Wall Street Analyst RT

Abstract: The Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday will be observed by US
exchanges on Monday, January 18, 1999. Users of Real-Time Omega Research
Products should add the holiday to their holiday list before Monday. Further
instructions are included if the holiday was not added prior to January 18,
1999, and what problems may be encountered by all users.

How To: Having the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday in your Holiday List
before Monday will prevent the server from recollecting Friday's data as new
data for Monday on all US exchanges.

NOTE: If you collect data on exchanges that will not observe the holiday,
entering the holiday into your holiday list will only effect data collection
for exchanges using the list of American Holidays.

How to Add Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to the Holiday List:
1.	From the Omega Server, click on Tools - Holiday Setup.
2.	From the Holiday Setup dialog box, click on the Edit List button.
3.	Click the Add Date Button.

5.	In the Description: box enter 'Martin Luther King, Jr. Day' without
the quotes and click OK.
6.	Click on OK and then Close.
If you have not added the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday to your
holiday list by Monday, you will need to complete the following steps to
remove the daily data collected for Monday, January 18th.

How to Remove Daily Data Incorrectly Collected on Monday, January 18, 1999:
1.	From the Omega Server, click on File - Delete.
2.	Uncheck the box next to Intraday.
3.	Next to Daily, enter '01/18/99' without the quotes in the box next
to Start Date.
4.	Enter '01/18/99' without the quotes in the box next to End Date.
5.	If you are collecting data only on US exchanges, click the Add All
button, or if you collect data on both US and non-US exchanges, use the Add
By... button to select just the affected exchanges.
6.	Click the OK button to delete all of the Daily Data collected
incorrectly on 01/18/99.

Due to the holiday, you will see gaps on your charts of both intraday and
daily data altering the results of technical analysis techniques that are
applied to your charts. Use the following steps to remove the gaps from your
charts.

How to Remove Gaps from Charting:
1.	From the TradeStation 4.0 or SuperCharts RT 4.0 main menu, click on
Tools - Options.
2.	Click on the Price Data tab.
3.	Uncheck the boxes next to 'Show empty intraday trading periods' and
'Show empty daily trading periods'.
4.	Click on OK.

NOTE: This procedure will remove all of the gaps from all of the charts in
all workspaces. If data stops being transmitted, you will not see gaps in
your charts. Once the holiday gaps will no longer affect your analysis, you
can re-enable the Show empty trading periods by re-checking the boxes listed
in step 3 above.

Known Issues: The Holiday List only affects the collection of Daily Data by
the Omega Server. Any Real-Time ticks sent by your data provider will be
collected. You may experience gaps in charting on Friday as some exchanges
will close early on Friday, January 15th in observance of the holiday. The
Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) has announced a noon closing for
agricultural, financial, and interest rate products on 01/15/99. The Chicago
Board of Trade (CBOT) has announced 1:00pm closings for financial, electric,
and insurance products on 01/15/99. You can use the How to Remove Gaps from
Charting steps above to resolve these gaps. If you have any questions
regarding this procedure, please contact Omega Research Technical Support.

Sincerely,
