I recall there was a bit of discussion lately about problems reading ascii data in as price data for a chart.
I just had the same problem. Each time I tried to load the file, I'd get a dialog box showing me the top portion of the file, asking me to confirm field order. Everything was correct - date format, separator format, and other files like it worked just fine.
Turned out the problem was that I had two identical lines toward the end of my file, so a date was repeated. After removing the extra line it worked just fine again.
May this message point somebody in the right direction some day.
