The question is will there be a new symbol universe offered by Omega? Or
will we have to edit the changes one by one ourselves? Please answer this
question as direct as possible. The new symbols are working for BMI right
now and the non compliance of the symbols are not a matter of waiting for
BMI to switch them over. They have been broadcast / received and converted
by BMI's own software for some time now. Again this seems to be an issue
of a lack, of a timely solution on Omegas part. It is my understanding that
if a solution was available NOW today that we would not be in a position to
wonder about the smooth transition of the symbol change. It also seems to
me that the close relation that Omega shares with DBC would suggest that
this change has been known for some time. Perhaps nothing has been
initiated before today to even consider the responsibility of Omega to
provide their clients with a solution. This would be disturbing for as I
have noted the symbols work right now using BMI hardware and software and
have for some time. Please respond at your earliest convenience for I have
many symbols to convert if done by hand. Also I am concerned about the
continued patching of a software product that will soon be dead anyway
because of non year 2000 compliance issues. That coupled with the
continual missed release dates of the new supposedly compliant TS 5.0 upset
me to say the least. I wonder if the company executives have any foresight
ability at all and if they do why haven't they exercised those skills to
take care of its client base.
