Very well. The authors are Marc Friedfertig and George West. The book
is published by McGraw-Hill. As far as technical analysis goes, this
book is very disappointing.
They dedicate two chapters (chapter 3 and chapter 5) to specialists,
market makers and the insiders. Unfortunately I had a personal
problem with the way the information is organized and the authors do not
do an effective job of getting the points across in a terse manner.
In any event, they discuss such things as some of the opening pitfalls
to watch out for, specialists giving false bid and ask quotes, using
arbitrage, etc. They also discuss the "levels" which is simply price
levels that stocks trade at. To us technicians, this is just simple and
support levels. However the market makers use these levels to hold
stocks down and then purchase the stock through some other means.
So this book is not geared toward technical analysts.
Hope this helps.
