ps - when some of us talk about backtesting, we are indeed talking about
a rigorous statistical analysis of trading *ideas*, not a TS system
report from some over-optimized $3000 wonder system. I don't see what
could be wrong with that. Backtesting is a skill like any other. It can
be done well and it can be done poorly. Perhaps, if we used the words
"research" or "statistical analysis", traders like Neal would find the
concept more palatable.
