Problem with TS and AIQ data files

Help! If anyone could offer any help with the following problem, I would be
very grateful:

I use Dial/Data for end-of-day data, and TS4.0, build 21 as well as AIQ
TradingExpert 4.1. Under this arrangement, TS can read the AIQ data files
for stocks and indices just fine. However, when it tries to read AIQ data
files for futures or mutual funds, the graphs come out all scrambled. The
same thing happens with Supercharts 4.0.

I attempted to contact Omega TS about this. Three repeat emails and one week
later they got back to me, suggesting that I do the following:

"1. Click on File, New Window, Chart.
2. Once you have selected the symbol from the AIQ directory you want to
plot click on the Plot button.
3. Now click on the Universe button on the bottom right hand corner of the
window.
4. Be sure the "exact match by symbol name box" is checked and the Data
Type is selected to future or mutual Fund.
5. Now click on the OK button and plot the future or mutual fund.

These steps will let you read your AIQ data for your Futures and Mutual
Funds."

Here's the catch: the Dial/Data symbols for the things I'm most interested
in analyzing in TS - Continuous Contract graphs for Bonds, Natural Gas,
Crude Oil, etc - are not in the Omega Universe! So "exact match by symbol"
name fails every time.

What to do now?
