I don't really follow the bonds but Greenspan (I think) had an
interesting comment about the bond market. He noted that there was a
huge spread between the 30 year and the equally "safe" but thinly traded
29 year. It leads me to believe that there was a lot more (short
covering?) going on in the 30 yr rally than just "safe haven".
