Thanks, Ron. I'm familiar with that web page. I was about to recommend
it until I realized that several others had done so. But that page
doesn't answer my question. What is the cap weighting of the individual
stocks that make up the indices? I'm just working from a fuzzy memory
(what's new? :-) but, as I recall, 5 stocks make up about 25% of the S&P
500 and 25 stocks make up about 50%. It would be nice to see the stocks
listed in order of market capitalization along with their % contribution
to the index.
