As one who is also patiently (?) awaiting Tradelab, I had a bad dream the
other night. With all the delays and troubles with TS5, the dream had
Omega buying out Tradelab. When Omega gets it, they can't decide what to
do with it. On the one hand, it is potentially *much* better than TS, but
it would undercut TS too much if both were available. Also, it is less
proprietary than TS, and would free users to get a much wider range of
things *without* Omega control. (At this point, the dream soundtrack has a
loud gasp of dismay from the Cruzes). It can do much more sophisticated
things, that TS users can only dream about (and ask for, and ask for, and
ask ... anyway, you get the idea). All in all, Tradelab would be just too
much competition for TS. Besides, it would appeal to sophisticated users,
and might not support the large turnover of new users that Omega needs to
keep the $$ coming in.
Anyway, when the Cruzes understand this, they decide to just junk
Tradelab altogether to keep it from competing with TS.
Bad dream, huh?
