The following is just my opinion, am a little dazed from the too much
technical fuzzy talk in the air and infighting , my head is spinning a
little. So here's a whiff of mine.
Maybe the basic thing (in how to succeed in the markets)is the
philosophy and physical situation of each individual trader, will be
sharing you mine as example (physical situation as in trading setup of
computer,software,access to data,info data stream, line hookup,
relationship with broker,proximity to exchange where you traded,etc.)
This, I think is a pretty and important thing no being focused on (often
overlooked) why some things work with some people and not with others.
(Its not the economy/or software,stupid, its the setup !! Haha!)
I believe there are many, many profitable ways to extract money from the
markets. Just look at the diverse methods in the Wizard books.
Agree? Let's proceed.
The following is just my philosophy (approach and opinion only as an
example)in making money from the markets, its may have been derived from
my personal observations of how insiders or smart money moves in the
markets. And it is my conclusion that they always win in the war
ultimately. They might lose on some battles, but in the end,they will
win the day.
Having seen this sooo many times. (was an executing broker for some and
collaborator too!) Actually they are more contrarian style, they sell
when there is new highs a lot, and accumulate in the new lows, of course
slowly and patient (one of their virtue and character, maybe because
they got really big bucks too,My what a big time frame you got there). I
have tasted and make some real good money in looking at the stockmarket
this way, thats why this theory is tattoed into my trading soul.
Insiders are actually scaling, whether getting in or getting out!!
Mine is simply getting in at the major supports and selling at the major
resistances or getting out whatever way as said beforeit depends
whether one is a daytrader or position trader who scale his position
out. (also on your being a chicken or greed level too!) Cluck ! Cluck !
Of course, always have your stops!! No matter how high probable the
entry is!! Always plan for surprise catastrophe to happen,a most
important thing, to be kept in mind.
So even with a Holy Grail system, it should fit the personal and
specific parameters of each individual's trading style,
physical(situation) facilities and philosophy. Or it won't work even
with him. Maybe just found what fits my personality and trading office
facilities. Maybe not for everyone, especially for example the buy and
hold crowd in the US equities, who will argue to death also with me, and
yes, I fully agree (and accept and respect) they are also making money
with their approach.(so far!!)
Who knows, maybe the holy grail is based on each individual's basic
philosophy,physical situation and their attempt to trade on that belief
and physical situation.
This might be it. The Holy Grail is found !!! Alas!!
The secret is, its really inside us all the time !!
(you just have to find it, as the wizards did and yes, it is not that
easy to find, like some small thing stuck in your own hair)
So, in conclusion,you guys who are making money out there and explaining
it to the list members your trading methods or tactics, its pretty
important also to describe some of your actual trading/physical
situation, these will make members understand and more appreciative of
your work!!

Just my 1 and 1/2 cents worth.

Maybe the subject should be titled as
(Just justifying why I do what I do as a street corner
philosopher/trader). Naaahhh!! You'd just delete it.
