Crossposting things like this is a true pleasure for me.
Hope that it will end the International Civil War on Omega-List and allow
current TS users to keep the best of both new software to come (TradeLab and
TradeStation5).

The Omega TS5 server has been completely redesigned and greatly improved.
No part of the old TS4 server code has been used. The technical software
interface is entirely different. Many other things, such as the way price
bars are created, are different. Because of that, the Omega Server to
TradeLab interface has to be rewritten to be compatible with both the TS4
and TS5 products.
Bill Cruz has agreed to provide the technical interface details needed to
make those changes. They haven't been provided yet, because Omega is making
changes to correct bugs found in their last beta release and is making
various other improvements that could change the interface.
I spoke with him yesterday. He explained they were busy making their
facility safe for the hurricane and that he soon would have to do the same
at home. They expect to be closed the next couple days, but he will be
sending draft interface specifications next week after the hurricane passes
and a TS5 server we can interface to in about 30 days, when he expects the
currently planned changes will have been made.
