Re: Market Profile

Peter, Felix,

Ray Barros is a discretionary trader who has averaged 58% per annum over 11
years trading currencies - with only one small losing year. His mentor was
Peter Steidlmayer. Ray's Trading Plan uses Market Profile to identify
zones of support and resistance to "lean on" as he says. It also gives him
an idea of when the market is not reacting as it should - a sign of its
own. Ray is quite modest but if the proof f the pudding is in the eating
Ray's results show that having a Profile background and using Profile is
good for your trading returns.

He also says that Dalon's book is the best. But that you need to look at
the overall longer term trend of the market. Most MP guys only use the
trigger part of MP and don't take the Prime trades. He talks about MP 1
and MP2. There is a difference.

| Bill Williams in his book Trading Chaos said that after years of using
it,
| and even
| writing articles about it, he lost money and is debunking it.
|
| Maybe just one of them tools for some people. But after reading around, a
| lot of interviewed traders use it as part of their trading arsenals.
There's
| one book by author
| name is Dalton, who also wrote a chapter about it, as well as Bill
Williams
| who wrote another one in the same book "High Performance Futures Trading"
by
| Joel Robbins
| published in 1990. For starters.
