Re: INDU/BMI data error

Difficult to say whether or not it's a Server bug or something else.
Clearly, the data is being received accurately from BMI and there is no data
error-- outside of an occasional bad tick that originates with the Exchange.
If the data is displayed in real-time, the chart is OK-- however the data
being saved to the database is corrupted and any subsequent charts generated
from the database will show the error.

I researched a situation recently with another List member who had bad Stock
data-- similar to the error with INDU on 8/31. The data in my TS database
had not been saved with the errors that his had. I had also seen this
phenomenon in the past when people reported bad data being saved, but mine
was OK.

When I sent him an .OMZ file with my data and the bad initial tick(s)
removed-- his problem was corrected. My machine has a Cyrix chip and his an
Intel, however all other variables were benign. It appeared that the
machine with the Cyrix chip did not incur the anomaly --where the data was
saved in the corrupted format-- but the Intel chip did.

Go figure! -- The mystery continues...
