Caution: This post is not directly related to Omega Tradestation, but
it is to "buying and selling." Some readers may consider this post to
be "off topic."
Dear James, et al:
I am aware of the etiquette rule and I do seek to respect it. I
titled the original post in such a way as to make known that it was
off topic. I then introduced the post with the disclaimer to read on
only if the subject matter interested the reader. Apparently, many
were interested.
And, it is a fascinating topic. But I do agree, it is a bit off the
wall, at least at first blush. But, then again, if it is true, it has
significant value for all, including traders. It has always
interested me as a trader, and given me a perspective on the markets
that not being aware of it wouldn't have had.
The bible basically says that there will be De facto control over
everyone's financial dealings (and that any who "take the mark" have
irrevocably committed themselves to Satan, with all its
ramifications). Although this is clearly a socialist or communist
function, it will be implemented by the engine of private enterprise
and driven by the profit motive. The ramifications of this
"socialization of capitalism" are extremely important to the big
picture of trading.
As an aside, if anyone cared to check out the links on my post, "Cash,
Liberty, and Progress," he would have found quite a menu of company
names that are committed to implementing this unavoidable system.
These companies will benefit from government directed/
endorsed/promoted investment and business. These are growth stocks.
(For my own part, though, and after a bit of reflection, I decided I
wouldn't touch them. The bible says that "Where your treasure is,
your heart is also." I realized that, if my treasure was in
antichrist's business, then my heart would be there also. I don't want
to make that trade).
I know this is not a church. Please take the info at face value and
make your own decisions. Remember, if it IS true, it has major
economic ramifications for everyone, believers and otherwise. In some
ways, this is like discussing central banks, international economics,
and the like. It is relevant. For example,
when you can't "buy or sell without the mark of the Beast," wouldn't
you like to know in advance that getting the mark will send you to
hell? At least that way, you can know the risk of THAT trade.
Sincerely,
CW
Sinner saved by grace.
