LFG regarding the resent rash of "problems" the LEO-WEB system has
been experiencing!!

has been promising to replace the existing CUBS software, and their
target date is and has been mid-September. Once the new software is
in place, additional CUBS terminals will be added, which should make

The system has experienced record or near record volume the last two
weeks because of the increase in volatility. Personally, I don't see
any near term decline in volatility.
It is also probable that by Monday, as a result of this increased
volatility, all orders except Market Orders in all stock index
contracts will be taken "not held".
The LeoWeb system has performed admirably even with the increase in
volume. Our system availability is outstanding and our response times
are great, but as long as Open Outcry is at the end of our pipe, there
will be problems. We understand that there is a search for
alternatives, and we will keep trying to improve the parts of the
system that we can control.
