Have you got a carriage return/line feed as the last character of the file ?

im trying to post into trade station an ascii file in the following format:
"date","close"
980803,2001
980804,2435
980805,2312
i get an error message, bad date. the dates are good.
i also tried this format
08/03/98,2001
didnt work either
