I do not recall saying this but it reflects my feelings.
But I would much prefer that Omega fix their problems as I have an enormous
investment in TradeStation techniques and code I have developed over the
years and mostly understand its idiosyncrasies.
Certainly, Omega now has a virtual monopoly on this business and it is
"theirs to lose".
But I am very concerned about the apparent lack of "technical integrity" I
see at Omega. I keep discovering bugs such as this and it makes me wonder
how many more there are that I haven't yet discovered and which are costing
me money.
At any other company, a software product this complicated, would routinely
be tested with automated regression tests that would catch any such errors
well before beta testing. There would be a database of all bug reports with
their severity classified and with information on when and if they would be
fixed.
