Joe,
There are several companies doing this on the net. They make there money
from the spreads which are usually 5, sometimes even 3 pips for the major
exchange rates.
I personally wouldn't use any java progam that relies on a web browser, but
some of these companies have stand alone applications (that are more stable)
for live charting and dealing and accounting.
I traded with one of these companies for a while and found them to be quite
good. I can't speak for all of them, but the company I traded with was
honest, and the way they had it setup they couldn't really rip you off.
