I just did a Win98 upgrade. In my opinion, it runs better than Win95. Plug
and Play is much better; it has a large and up to date driver database; it
runs the hard drive with FAT32 (for me the biggest deal); maintenance
programs are better; and all kinds of free bundled software (Net Meeting
etc.)
I did a full clean install - i.e. formatted my hard drive and reinstalled
all my programs. I hear it works fine if you install it on top of Win95,
though you'll have to reinstall your programs anyway.
