Yesterdays news from the CME/CBOT has to be another nail in the coffin for
openoutcry - BUT as a TS user I'm wondering whether the promise of (only)
computerised markets will be a benefit at all? - I am interested to know
any thoughts list members may have on the effect of existing openoutcry
markets going computerised trading only. Do you suppose those markets may
become more or less efficient? Will there still be room for "scalping"
those markets for instance? Will the pattern of trading alter? Will
volumes increase/decrease?? If so how will that effect your business? If
the CME &CBOT link up and computerised trading becomes the norm surely a
good % of the contracts tradeable are going to be affected - If as OMEGA MAN
predicts the markets become just trading system vs trading system do you
suppose theres enough room for all TS users?
