The Quotes PlusŪ software consists of a database and

Charting
The charting software can quickly display any chart in
the database.
You can add any of the following indicators for each
chart:
Simple moving averages
Exponential moving averages
Weighted moving averages
Rate of change
Bollinger bands
Envelopes
Candlestick charts
Chaiken 21-day money flow oscillator
Chaiken money flow line
MACD
Quotes PlusŪ relative strength
On balance volume
RSI
Stochastics
Display a full screen image of the chart program.

Search engine The search engine can search the entire
database looking for issues that meet your criteria.
Items
that can be programmed include open, high, low, close,
volume, average volume, PE, dividend, RSI, standard
deviation, stochastic and more. The output of the
search
engine is an ASCII file that can be read by the chart
program so you can quickly view or export all of the
issues that were selected.
You can search for:
new highs
new lows
breakouts from a base
optionable issues
volume surges
and more
You can view the issues that meet your search criteria
as
charts, flipping between the issues with the Page Up
and
Page Down keys. You can view thousands of issues in a
few minutes.
Downloading
You can use the QP downloader to dial the Quotes PlusŪ
computers and download all of the files necessary to
bring
the database up to date. This is a totally free call
that takes
about 1 minute per day using a 28.8 modem.
Alternatively, you can use your web browser to
download
the daily update files from our Web site.
Data output program
The data output program can output the Quotes PlusŪ
data
in ASCII or MetaStockTM formats. It can be run
automatically after the update database program has
run to
update your MetaStockTM compatible files in one easy
operation.
Database update
The database update routine will read the data files
that
were downloaded by the downloader or from the Internet
and update the day's prices, splits, dividends, etc.
The
update process takes about 8 minutes a day for the
average
486 PC.
The Quotes PlusŪ DLL is now documented so you can
write your own applications against the Quotes PlusŪ
database using any language that supports DLLs.
