Pierre, I believe there may be a problem with the well intended user
implemented fix of the y2000 problem as opposed to the promised y2000
patch that Omega claimed here on this list that would be available by
early second quarter this year, by Bill Cruz's personal assistant. The
problem is that: if you do not allow the morning update the you may be
operating a system under false data assumptions. That is the morning
update is there for a reason. If you trade automated systems for a
profession and have clients money depending on the accuracy of the data
then this poor excuse of a fix is NOT acceptable. If you are not a
professional trader, money manager and just play with the program then
this suggested fix would be acceptable, I guess? I am personally going
to jump ship first sight of land that looks promising. I am VERY
disappointed that Omega decided to offer a diversionary post to the list
rather than communicate with its clients what is going on? The BETA IS
NOT Y2000 compliant, this worries me very much, Omega is not very
effective at communicating anything to its clients other than the
constant barrage of Omega World and System of the Month flyers they send
out with enough frequency that my mail man is driving a Rolls Royce
nowadays. I deserve an answer and a SOLUTION from Omega not YOU on these
subjects of such importance!
