Hello all...

I have been trading stocks for a few months now and am beginning to find some consistent meaning to the madness using CCI
on SC 4.0 EOD using various time frames from 2,4 day up to 10,20 day...I like to trade long when the green CCI 10,20 line is
beginning to slope upward and the red 10 day line has crossed it on an upward slope... I then move in and out of a trade based
on say the 5,5 CCI. I haven't had the nerve yet to short a stock. This appeals to me because I am beginning to form an
identity as a cycle trader, no matter where the stock is trending overall.

Question 1. If I use CCI as a system with 2,3,and 4 day lengths, and I get a buy or sell signal, normally I would place the
trade the following morning at open... Does SC assume that the trade was placed on the day the signal was given and therefor I
am introducing extra slippage with the next day fullfillment? How can you trade on the same day since I rely on EOD data and
SC calculations?

Question 2. EL stuff... Alex Saitta wrote a succint and understandable article on a back to basics indicator that combines a
moving average with a volume modifier in last year's Stocks and Commodities bonus issue. He uses the word length in the el
code and SC dosen't recognize the word "length"

Here is the code for my Quick editor:

Long entry:
    Close crosses over Average(Close,Length) and Volume> Average(Volume,Length2)

Long Exit
Close crosses below Average(Close,Length)

Can someone suggest a fix to make this work?

Many thanks
