Hi
All this is very worrying, and I am sure we can take this opportunity to
learn how to minimise down time if the same thing happened to us.
I read in a manual sometime back that there is a utility named MSD
(Microsoft Diagnostics) that is shipped with Windows, from which you
can print a report showing all major system parameters incl IRQ settings
and memory addresses. Exit windows and type MSD from the command
prompt.
Problem is I can't find this MSD utility on my hard drive. Does anyone
else have it? perhaps you can post to the list?
While we are on the subject, does anyone out there have a complete
procedure that a super paranoid person should do BEFORE a system goes
down eg backup options, which system files, frequency etc. Also what
sequence of steps should you take after a crash?
Thanks in advance
