Generally I think that one can get so close to the pit action that one ends up
trading to compete with the pit - a losing proposition. I try to pick off 5-10
point moves in the S&P using daily, 30 and 5 minute bars. I also run 20 tick
bars (new bar every 20 ticks) however I don't use them much except when the
action slows down and I want another perspective. I do not trade off the 20 tick
bars.
