I run a 12' C-Band with a super quality LNB (tuned to TBS with as cable box),
and it would take an act of God to bring down the signal. I'm not sure if these
big dishes are still available, but I know that smaller yet still effective
C-Band setups are still being sold, for a lot less than it used to cost ($1500
or so should get you set up these days). This is probably the ultimate way to
go if you want to ensure that your data is never interrupted - save for the
satellite going down, which is very rare. The way I figure it, if loss of data
with the mini Ku is a problem for you, this solution might be worth considering.
