Yes there is a solution..  You can get a larger diameter dish that will
collect and focus more signal.  This will compensate for the reduced signal
during the rainstorms... Also the quality of the LNB makes a difference..
This is the unit that is in the feedhorn and has the coax attached.  The
quality is rated in Noise Kelvin the lower the number the better noise
filtering the LNB has.  Therefore a Kelvin rating of 10 would be a higher
quality LNB than a Kelvin rating of 25..  The rating is printed on the
outside of the LNB.
Try to get the best rated one you can afford.  Also a larger dish can make a
big difference.  If you have room you could get a 4 foot metal mesh dish
that is tuned for K band.  Some of the dishes that you can get are combo. C
band & K band..  Whatever you do make sure the dish is tuned to work with K
band..  The diameter of the tiny holes in the metal mess are what tunes the
dish to a frequency range.

This should be enough info ..  If you are willing to spend the money and
time it should correct the trouble.
