Hey John, hang in there.
People who appreciate your postings will not be vocal, those
who criticize will always be vocal.
The Internet is like that. Like a rioting mob (see CNN reports from
Indonesia).. Mobs have much emotion, but no intelligence. The challenge
is to ignore the time-wasting noise, and still find value in the
communication. Besides, criticism has a valuable role to play.
I have some of my own cozy/incestuous communication forums/email lists
where the topics are very relevant, and criticism is usually appropriate.
These are important to me.
But some of the best fresh ideas come from the screaming mob. Your own
posting would not have reached me if I did not tolerate the rest of
the noise on this list.
Tolerating criticism and deleting a billion junk messages is part of
keeping an open mind.
