Daily data is not stored in the DAT file. It is stored under a directory under \SERVER\BTC (or
\SERVER\SIG). Each exchange has its own directory (i.e., \NYSE, \NASDAQ, KCBOT)). So when saving or
copying the data you should copy the entire \SERVER directory, unless you have a specific reason for
copying only the tick data.
Of course, that is the data collected by TS off your realtime data feed. I am not sure where
DialData goes, but I vaguely remember a DAILY directory under the \OMEGA (I don't use DialData). If
you mean daily data from another source it may be in another place entirely.
Why copy only the data ? After a new installation you won't have your workspaces, indicators, etc.,
unless you copy the entire TS system.

I recently moved TS 4.0 to my new hard drive and found that daily data is
not transferred. I performed the following procedure:
1. Install Win 95 on virgin new drive.
2. Install TS from CD on new drive.
3. Copy 40bonn.dat and bonn.lst and TS folder from old to new drive
4. Delete files 40bonn.idx, 40bonn5.dat, and 40bonn5.idx from new hard drive.
5. Run offline server to rebuild idx files.
6. Close offline server and startup online server.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
