        Just deleting old contracts doesn't reduce the bat file at all.  Do
the following

1).   MOST IMPORTANT.  Save a copy of the 40sig.dat 40sig.idx, and the 5
minute 
        files.   This is just in case.

2).   Having deleted the contracts you don't want, do a copy out of the stuff
you want.
       This will create a new dat file that is smaller.

3.    delete the main 40sig.dat 40sig.idx and the 5 minute files.  40sig5.dat
etc.

4.    copy the dat file that you made by doing the copy into the data area
renaming
       it to 40sig.dat

5.    Enter the offline server and this will build a new idx file.  Running a
morning       
       Update  will rebuild the 5 min files.

         This will get you the smallest dat file possible.
